Taking a Course For Category A1
The course you take for category A1 is a crucial step to obtain your license. It is not the only requirement. You must also pass the test in practice.

Theoretical lessons
Sigma Aerospace College provides courses that cover all the necessary knowledge and training required to obtain a pilot's license. These include competencies from the MEA Aeroskills Training Package as well as Part 66 modular assessments. These courses also meet the licensing criteria for the European Union. These programs do not include the practical aspect of training. Students are able to complete the training in a practical manner using RPL.
The theory lessons are an essential element of the class in category A1. To be eligible for the test on theory, you must attend 12 90-minute theory lessons. However, the number of these lessons could be reduced based on the progress you've made in your learning.

Practical lessons
The course for A1 category prepares students for a practical test on motorcycles. This course is designed specifically for students who want to ride a small motorbike or moped with an engine capacity of 125cc. The lessons in the practical sessions cover theory and practice in basic riding skills. The duration of the course is at a minimum of four hours. Students who wish to pass the exam must have at minimum 9 hours of instruction with an instructor.
The practical lessons in the category A1 driving course are divided into several sections. The first is a theoretical lesson on the basic rules of driving. The next part is a road course where the student will practice the manoeuvres which will be tested in the Mod 1 test. The final lesson is the actual test that lasts around fifteen minutes. During the test, the student is required to perform a variety of manoeuvres, whether on Federal or Country roads. The student will also have to complete a variety of special rides, such as driving at dawn, in the rain, or at night.
In addition to the theory and practical instruction students must pass a written exam. This exam consists of 50 multiple-choice tests. The test must be completed with a minimum score of 41 points. The test isn't too difficult however it can make students anxious. To help them feel more confident, students should practice the test as much as they can.
After completing the practical training, the student can take the Mod 1 test and obtain an authorization to ride motorbikes in the category A1. The permit permits the student to drive on public roads with an accompanying passenger. The Strassenverkehrsamt must issue the permit. The process can vary between cantons however, it usually takes several weeks or days to obtain the permit.

Theory test
You must pass the theory test to be granted an A1 license before you can begin your practical training. The theory test is comprised up of 40 questions. Of these, 10 are related to road safety. The test takes 30 minutes and you must not make more than five mistakes in order to pass.
You can prepare by taking practice tests and using an instructional guide. There are also online courses and programmes that help you learn the essential information. These study materials do not contain the same type of questions as the theory test, but they cover the same topics. You can request an interpreter if you have a hearing or visual impairment. You must present a certificate signed by a professional to demonstrate your disability. The certificate must contain the ICD-10 diagnosis of your condition. The staff at the service point will verify the information. Practical test
The test is a requirement to obtain your category A1 license. This includes a road skills test and a safety exam. You will need your own motorcycle to take the test.
